Established in 2008, Mitram has been at the forefront of quality teacher education, preparing educators to create meaningful, child-centric, and inclusive classrooms.

As an aspiration towards to education we found that the Montessori Method of Education was based on the FOUR KEY DEVELOPMENT PLANS, SENSORY EXPERIENCE, FREEDOM OF LEARNING, LEARNING BY OBSERVING, AND SPECIALLY DESIGNED APPARATUS gave hands on experience for children where he could discover himself.

Start of the Journey
As a Franchisee

We have started at a Franchisee of a Chennai based training organization in 2008. With a very numbered staff we took up the challenge to train aspiring teachers at that time, and we succeeded in our first step. Initially, the academy focused on Montessori Training.

2013
Expanded
Started Maria Institute

Founded as an independent institution dedicated to Montessori pedagogy and the professional growth of early childhood educators. Started with one center and expanded to the second, later.

2023
New Institute
Mitram Academy Started

Established to meet the evolving needs of early childhood education and to address the strong emphasis placed on the foundational years by the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

The Academy offers integrated training programs for adults, designed to equip educators with the skills, knowledge, and experiential learning required to cater to the dynamic needs of early childhood education in today’s context.

Branch Addition
Expanded to 5 Branches

We have successfully expanded to 5 branches in 2026 with the huge support from our students and staff. We are happy with the results from each batch and the placements assured.
